After years spent studying in the United Kingdom, Yucheng and Xiao returned to China and began building a life together in Shanghai. Their wedding took place inside an old Chinese house, where timber beams, weathered doors and quiet shadows carried traces of the lives that had passed through before them.

There was something fitting about beginning their next chapter in a place shaped by age, craft and memory. Beneath the old rafters, returning home felt less like looking backwards and more like finding the right place from which to move forward.
